So our LAST ultrasound appointment went well this morning. Baby A weighs about 3lbs 13oz while Baby B is roughly 3lbs 10oz. The doctors were happy with everything they saw, and we are all set for Tuesday, April 4.
Sorry I haven't updated this in the past couple weeks, but we just haven't had too much new news to report, which is a good thing!! The babies and I are still doing well. Their heart rates are still ranging from 130's-150's, and they're cooperating on the monitor in the morning and at night! We go for our last ultrasound on Wednesday, March 29th to see how much they weigh. The plan for now is for the twins to make their grand appearance on Tuesday, April 4th @ 8:30 AM!! That will take us to 33 weeks in the pregnancy. We know the babies will already be admitted to the NICU, we are just unsure for how long. Their timeline all depends on how well they're eating and breathing . We are expecting a month maybe a little longer.
It's hard to believe that I have been admitted for 5 and a half weeks. The time has flown. It has been great to have had so many visitors stop in and see me. You have no idea how helpful it is to pass the time when you have someone else to sit and chat with!
I promise to update you all on how much the babies weigh on Wednesday. As always, thank you all so much for everything. Love Always, Jen, Bobby and our Power-Rangers :)
Another week in the books, and the babies and I continue to do well. The biggest update we have is that Twin A & B both weigh roughly 2 3/4 lbs. They looked great on the ultrasound today, and the doctors remain happy with their progress.
The time here in the hospital has been moving quicker than I ever expected. Working here definitely has its advantages. I am either visiting my nursing friends during the day or talking with the nurses on our floor. Everyone here has been so great to Bobby and me.
We have another ultrasound in 3 weeks to check on the babies' growth. We expect the twins to arrive (if everything remains the same) the first week of April. This will put us at the 33 week mark. Everyday we are asked what we think the babies are, and honestly, we have NO idea! We just want healthy little ones.
As always, thank you all for your continued love and support,
Jen, Bobby, Twin A and Twin B
Two weeks down and about five to go (I hope)!! The babies and I are continuing to do really well. Their heart rates are still consistently in the 130's-150's, and the doctors are very happy with their progress. Monitoring some days takes 20 minutes, or if the babies are uncooperative it could take an hour and a half. They typically are uncooperative at night (they better fix that ASAP). I am scheduled for another ultrasound next week to see exactly how much the babies weigh. Bobby and I think they are over 2 pounds now! :)
Never thought I would see today!! The week has surprisingly gone pretty fast - thanks to many visitors, texts, calls and endless snap-chats. The babies are doing well, extremely active, which is making the monitoring difficult at times but overall the doctors are happy with their progress. The babies and I get monitored 2-3 times a day and the doctors watch their heart beats - their heart rates have been from the 130's-150's, which is right where they should be. I am due for an ultrasound next week to hopefully see how much they've grown. Thank you to everyone for all of the love and support the past week - the babies and I are so lucky! :)
